PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
After completing a rebrand and new web design for Regan Billingsley Interiors we continued our working relationship with Regan as she expanded into the home goods realm with RB Curated - Handcrafted Ethical Luxury. While this is a separate venture from her services business we developed a brand strategy to keep the entities connected while allowing RBC to grow and stand it’s own. We studied similar businesses and models within the industry but our greatest inspiration came from Regan and her commitment to the RBC’s artisan partners in Guatemala; masters of traditional weaving techniques that have been passed down through generations. After crafting the brand identity we developed an art direction deck, produced and styled the product in a lifestyle shoot along with a crew of local creatives here in Baltimore.

We worked with Peter Hoblitzell to produce a video documenting our set building & styling on the day of the shoot.

Logo Suite

The primary logo utilizes the same elegant font as RBI but incorporates a ‘randa stitch’ icon which is a traditional embroidery technique used by Guatemalan weavers to connect two pieces of fabric and is part of a number of RBC’s products. The monogram also borrows from RBI’s monogram but allows the circular holding shape to form the letter C.

Color Palette

Borrowing the core warm & cool colors from RBI while adding accent colors of Deep Jade & Rojo that represent specific sections on the RBC Site.

Supplementary Graphics

RBC maintains a strong commitment to their values and founding principals so we emphasized them with graphic icons to proudly display on the website.

Front end design & development for the e-commerce site built on a custom theme through Squarespace. While facilitating sales is the ultimate goal we also were tasked with celebrating the artisan makers and found ways weave their stories throughout the site.
